The project includes requirements to renovate the Forrest Street Garage: one to replace the fire sprinkler system and one to complete a structural and coating restoration, to be phased in concert to minimize disruption to parking garage operation. In general, the sprinkler project includes full replacing of the automatic dry/wet pipe sprinkler system, addition of a nitrogen generation system, replacement of the wet to dry booths with new lighting, insulation, and heat, and heat tracing for existing to remain pipes. The structural restoration includes structural repair of the existing façade, stairwells, columns, slab surfaces, and expansion joints to separate the garage structure from the adjacent building.
