Strengthening Communities, One Block at a Time.
In 2023 the Matos team launched our new community service initiative: “Building Better Blocks. Strengthening Communities, One Block at a Time.” Each quarter we identify a neighborhood that can benefit from a community clean up.  Matos provides the personnel, tools, and equipment for a focused effort. Our primary goals with this initiative are to:

  1. Support our Baltimore community through training and hiring of local workers.
  2. Beautify local neighborhoods.
  3. Foster a philanthropic culture within Matos.

Rise Against Hunger.

As many as 783 million people across the world don’t receive enough nutrition to lead an active, healthy life, or provide for themselves and their families. Rise Against Hunger targets specific geographic regions where access to diverse and nutritious food is limited. Matos was grateful for the opportunity to join the team at the Rise Against Hunger event on MLK Day. The team of hard working volunteers was able to assemble over 30,000 meals for those in need.
