Simplifying Laboratory Renovation

Matos Builders Complete Repairs and Renovation to NIH Vivarium

The National Institute of Health (NIH) is the steward of medical and behavioral research for the nation. Its mission is to seek fundamental knowledge of living systems that can be applied to enhance health, lengthen life, and reduce illness and disability. The Vivarium in Building 33 of the NIH campus in Bethesda, MD, plays a significant role in that mission. Matos Builders was awarded a design-build contract to make repairs to 19 rooms in the Vivarium. The project schedule had a very tight timeframe and there were other labs still operating in the Vivarium making the nature of this project incredibly complex.
